A collection starts before the first sketch
Good clothing starts with a clear question: who will wear it, where and how?
It is tempting to begin a collection with a colour or silhouette. Start instead with what the garment needs to do. An everyday T-shirt, a work uniform and sportswear need different decisions. Understanding the wearer gives every later choice a useful point of reference.
Translate the idea into a production brief
Include the audience, intended use, styles and size range. Compare fabric samples under the same conditions: feel them, fold them and look at them in the light. Add collar, sleeve, seam and label requirements to your sketch. The first sample lets you see whether these individual choices work together.
Keep feedback in one list. Record what changes, who approves it and which sample version is current. This makes the next conversation specific and productive. It is also a useful starting point for discussing a collection with Fazo.
