How a garment reaches its customer is part of the design conversation.
The first encounter with a finished garment often begins with opening a package. Folding, tissue and product identification need to work together. Attractive packaging becomes useful when it also makes an order easier to identify and check.
Start with one packed sample
Fold and pack the garment as intended. Check the fit, ease of removal and arrangement of multiple units. Agree how the model, colour and size will be identified. Individual packaging and shipping cartons serve different purposes and need separate decisions.
Keep the packaging material, item count, label position and a photograph of the approved sample in the order documentation. Check environmental claims against relevant supplier evidence. The value of the packaging should be visible in everyday handling as well as its presentation.
