The first sample: look, try on, refine
There is more to sample feedback than “like” or “dislike”.
A sample turns a sketch into volume. Sleeve length, collar shape and pocket position become easier to judge. Treat the first sample as a tool for checking and agreeing on decisions, rather than assuming it is already the finished product.
Make feedback systematic
Photograph the front, back and sides from a consistent distance. Name the detail and requested change in every comment. Clarify “make it wider” with a location and measurement. If several people review the sample, bring their feedback into one final document.
Keep that list beside you when the next sample arrives. It becomes easier to identify completed changes and the questions that still need a decision.
